Synesis at SPS 2019

Synesis at nxtControl’s SPS booth in Nuremberg

From 26 to 28 November 2019, the SPS – Smart Production Solution fair – was held in Nuremberg, which has been confirmed as one of the main international events for the industrial automation world and the innovative solutions for smart factories.

Synesis participated as guest at the nxtControl’s booth, an Austrian company recently acquired by Schneider Electric, in order to support and promote, together with other Italian and European companies, the dissemination of the IEC 61499 standard for distributed automation. nxtControl is the producer of the one and only software solution for automation completely compliant with IEC 61499 standard of which Synesis is the main promoter on the Italian national territory and beyond.

Synesis has always believed in the need to evolve the programming methodologies for automation systems still based on outdated practices and standard no longer suitable for technological needs and requested level of performance of modern production systems. This is why Synesis has been working alongside nxtControl to promote the diffusion of the IEC 61499 standard, operating both in European research projects and in technology transfer projects in order to demonstrate the real advantages that can be obtained by exploiting the standard.
